Truly lovely and serene, this lightweight antique kilim (flat weave) is a delight for the eyes, tribal and subdued. This rug is only suitable to light treading or would make for an amazing wall hanging with its feathery weight. Think of that tall empty wall on a stair landing or across a long expanse of blank wall, or beside a bed where feet take those lighter steps.  On the floor a thin pad to prevent slipping and movement is required. The condition of this piece is excellent despite it's weight. As is the case with kilim rugs there are repetitive perforations in the weave, and with this piece it is difficult to descerne the front of the rug from the back because the knots are hidden. Suuuch pretty colors of limewashed terracotta, ivory, oatmeal, khaki, a range of browns, with an ombre of dark chocolate at one end, and muted aqua throughout.
