A STUNNING semi-antique Persian Heriz rug.  The colors in this incredible piece are excellent.  The warm tones are in a range of softened burgundy rather than a classic red typically found in Heriz rugs. Supporting colors are neutral browns, bright ivory, mauve, melon, bronze, and with crisp black tracing throughout. The blues and greens in this vintage rug are wonderful, marine blue, peacock, emerald, forest, and bits of periwinkle.  The abrash and overall variation in color saturation offers this rug so much interest and dimension. There are many animal motifs and symbols bringing this piece of floor art to LIFE, including birds and other four-legged critters in motion with strips and spots.
